⇒1977年、バンド『TONIGHT』のギタリストとしてデビュー(当時のアーティストネームはDave Cook)。シングル『ドラマーマン』がヨーロッパ全土でロングセラーになり、200万枚を超える大ヒットを記録。
その後イギリスでパワーポップバンド『YEN』を結成、ワールドツアーを成功させる。
スペインで手がけたＣＭソング『チェロキー』はスペインと南アフリカでミリオンセラーを記録。
ハリウッド映画『Blood and Concrete』(1991) やカルチャー・クラブ、クリフ・リチャード等に楽曲提供。
2012年、アメリカでカントリーバンド『スイートロー・ダコタ』を結成。アメリカン・フォークやケルト音楽を取り込み、デビッドにしか表現できない独自の世界を作り上げた。
過去にワーナーブラザーズ、ポリドール、IRSとレコード契約。
北海道の自然や文化に感銘を受け、現在は札幌を拠点に活動中。
Born and raised on the estuary of the River Thames in Essex England and having lived in Lousiana USA, Spain and now Hokkaido Japan, David SweetLow’s music has a certain worldly shape to it, not settling in any one place for long, constantly on the move.
His acoustic musical style with touches of folk, Americana and the mystery of his now Hokkaido home, his music will take you on a journey from his gritty English roots to the snowy beauty of Japan’s northernmost island.

2018年SOUND AIRにてSOUND AIR賞受賞。
シングル「Hangover」が好評発売中。
He is vocalist and guitarist of the band Tsurezuregusa in Sapporo.
And known as singer-songwriter-guitarist who expresses casual daily things on trendy and melodious music enjoyably.

タレント、ナレーターとしても活躍中で、及川質店やノースグラフィックオートのテレビCMに出演している他、セイコーマートのCMソング歌唱、タワーレコードや千歳アウトレットモールRelaのCMアナウンス、JR北海道の社内アナウンス等でその声と顔を広く知られる。
冬季アジア札幌大会では英語司会も務めた。
